Gender equality

The central Commissioner for Gender Equality represents the interests of the female members of the university and supports the University Board in its efforts to establish gender equality between women and men in academia and to remove discrimination against women at the university. The paramount objectives in this respect are to increase the proportion of women in all areas in which women are under-represented (above all in research and teaching) and to introduce changes towards a completely gender-equitable organisational culture.

In the faculties, part-time equal opportunity commissioners and their deputies (see below for links) are mainly responsible for recruiting and appointment procedures.
