Gender fair personnel development

The equal opportunity commissioners at German universities have initiated many measures for gender fair, transparent and quality-controlled personnel development. Examples are regulations for the appointment of employees, including professors, funding programs for mentoring and coaching as well as training for senior staff.

The commission ""Geschlechtergerechte Personalentwicklung an Hochschulen (Gender fair personnel development at universities)" of the Bundeskonferenz der Frauen- und Gleichstellungsbeauftragten (National Conference of the Equal Opportunities Commissioners) is working on the topic personnel development from the perspective of gender fairness and contributes to ongoing debates at German universities, which are conducted e.g. at the Hochschulrektorenkonferenz or the Wissenschaftsrat. The equal opportunity commissioner of Kiel University, Dr. Iris Werner, is deputy spokesperson of the commission.
