Dr. Viktoria Bachmann

Dr. Viktoria Bachmann

Dr. Viktoria Bachmann did her PhD in 2012 at the FU Berlin in philosophy. Since January 2014, she is working at the CAU. Currently she is researching the beginnings of anthropological thinking in ancient Greek philosophy. She participated in the mentoring programme via:mento and is a member of the Konvent in the Philosophical Faculty.

Dr. Martina Baum

Dr. Martina Baum

Dr. Martina Baum graduated as a Technical Biologist and did her PhD within the area of Biomechanics and Biotribology at the Zoological Institute at Kiel University (till 2013). Since 2014, she is working at the Institute of materials science at Kiel University. Her current research is focused on the interactions at material/bio-interfaces, mainly within the area of the development of an environmentally friendly polymeric coating with antifouling effect for maritime buildings. Beside this she is a member of the staff council (Personalrat-W) at Kiel University.

Dr. Sönke Burmeister

Dr. Sönke Burmester

Dr. Sönke Burmeister made his PhD at the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics at Kiel University. Since 2007, he is head of the Aircrew and Space Dosimetry group as part of the Extraterrestrial Physics group at the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics. Currently he is operating and maintaining the active part of the DOSIS3D experiment onboard the ISS as well as developing new detector systems for mixed radiation fields and for space applications.

Dr. Meike Stumpp

Dr. Meike Stumpp

Dr. Meike Stumpp did her PhD at GEOMAR and Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel in 2011. As postdoc, she spent one year in Sweden (Gothenburg University) and two years in Taiwan (Academia Sinica). Finally she returned to Kiel, where she was first working at GEOMAR and is now employed at the Zoological Institute at Kiel University (Group Comparative Immunobiology). Her research is focused on the eco-physiology of marine invertebrate larvae. Beside this, she is an elected representative of IMAP (Integrated Marine Postdoc Network) of the Excellence Cluster “The Future Ocean”.
